About Grace and Peace
Bill Rumple founded Grace and Peace in 1987 soon after his first trip to Haiti. The Lord has given him an amazing vision for the Dominican Republic, working with both the Dominicans and the Haitians who came to the DR to find a better life. Bill is the Director of Grace and Peace. Karen Rumple is the Administrator and Missions Team Coordinator.
Our Story
Grace and Peace began in 1985 when Bill Rumple took his first missions trip to Haiti. After that initial trip, he travelled back and forth to Haiti for more than 10 years. In 1998, Bill crossed the border of Haiti into the Dominican Republic to see the needs there. In 1999, he sold his business in the U.S., and began building the mission house in the Dominican Republic. In January of 2000, Bill moved his family there to work full time.
Over the last 27 years, G&P developed a Children's Program where 300 children are enrolled, a Widow Program where 100 widows are fed both spiritually and physically, built a medical clinic, and created a program, Love United, that helps Dominican couples living together get married. Grace and Peace shares the gospel through each organized program.

Our Team
Bill Rumple is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Trevor Berry serves on our board along with Karen and Bill. Our Stateside Administrator is Linda Simmer.
Bill Rumple
Bill Rumple founded Grace and Peace Missionary Fellowship after first serving in Haiti in 1985. Through years of missionary work and prayerful leadership, God placed a vision in his heart to minister to vulnerable communities in the Dominican Republic, especially Haitian families living in extreme poverty.
After working for 21 years at General Motors and serving as a jail chaplain in Ohio, Bill stepped away from business life in 1999 to pursue full-time missions. Together with his wife Karen and their children, he relocated to Barahona, Dominican Republic, where they established the mission headquarters and began building programs focused on evangelism, education, medical outreach, clean water access, farming initiatives, and widow care.
Under Bill’s leadership, Grace and Peace has grown into a ministry committed to meeting both spiritual and physical needs while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through compassionate service.
Karen Rumple
Karen Rumple has faithfully served alongside her husband Bill since moving to the Dominican Republic in 2000. With a background in court reporting and business administration, Karen brought both professional experience and a servant’s heart into the ministry.
She founded the Grace and Peace Widow Program, which now provides spiritual support, food assistance, and care to more than 100 widows and widowers. Her compassion for vulnerable families and commitment to ministry have helped shape many of the organization’s outreach efforts over the years.
Karen’s journey to missionary life was one of faith, courage, and surrender. Today, she continues to oversee ministry operations while helping lead programs that bring hope, dignity, and the love of Christ to the people they serve.
Keila Moreta Cuevas
Keila Moreta Cuevas has been an essential part of Grace and Peace Missionary Fellowship since 2003. As the ministry’s In-Country Coordinator, she oversees local programs and works closely with Dominican staff and community leaders to support the mission’s outreach efforts.
Raised in a Christian family and deeply impacted by her own experience as a sponsored child through Compassion International, Keila developed a passion for helping others and serving her community. She and her husband, Pastor Yefri Perez Cuevas, are actively involved in ministry and leadership within their local church.
Keila’s personal connection to the ministry, combined with her compassion, leadership, and dedication, has made her a vital bridge between Grace and Peace and the communities they serve throughout the Dominican Republic.
